5:2 Cookery Discussion, Tips & Ideas

I was in M&S and came across their 'Meals For One' range.

Now the meal portions are decidedly small for the little pots (they seem to come in different sizes!)

But I spotted Bangers and Mash with Onion Gravy with a per-pack calorie total of 190 calories!

And a Fish Pie (complete with cheesy sauce!) for 230 calories

I was thinking of going back there and buying a couple for the freezer as stand-by fast day meals!

(they're on 3 for 2 at the moment too! )

Has anyone tried this range?...any particular favourites that I should be looking for?
Hi I have been buying the 'fuller for longer' range for a while as OH is away...all around 350 calories so can stack up on the veg on a fast day!! Excellent!!
Not tried meals for one, but used Count on Us several times. Just be careful to check its for one portion as some are for two.

Find them really tasty and filling :like: Handy as a backup for when I have a migraine (I suffer alot) and don't feel like cooking. Can recommend the Veg mousaka for 280 kals.

Will have a look next time for meals for one !
Veg Mousaka sounds just the thing for these colder nights we are getting! I'll look out for that!

And 'Fuller-for-Longer'....I'll have to check that range. I've had some of them before - they do a rather good Thai Green Curry! I'll have to check the calories!

I generally cook for myself, and fill up the freezer with little meals for me. But it's always handy to have a few 'extra' meals in the freezer - especially as I am disabled and have days when I can't cook!
Oh Aspie, bangers and mash! Yummers comfort food!
Am on 1700 cals today and have had 1350 so far, still hungry..
At least i have enough for a comforting slice of toast and cuppa before bed!
I havent tried M n S meals but think they might be a nice treat after a fab fast and repair day x
