Any ideas?
17 Feb 2013, 14:43
I have taken some left over turkey breast slices from the freezer for tonight.
I'm fasting today and planning using the turkey.
Anybody any ideas what to do with it to make a substantial meal of 400 calories?
I've been browsing low cal recipes all afternoon, but nothing is jumping out at me.
I feel like something warming rather than a salad.
Thanks.

Hi Bellalou. I can't think of anything desperately original, but what about stir fry or for a more traditional meal just adding some nice greens - spinach, brussel sprouts, broccoli, and maybe making a little gravy with a stock cube? Obviously roast potatoes are out!

Thank you all for your suggestions.
I ended up having cottage cheese salad followed by an orange. It was lush.
I was getting stressed trying to decide what to do with the turkey.
Today was my first fast day with reduced calories to account for my 4 kg loss.
My dinner didn't come to the 400 cals but I feel full.
The test will be how well I sleep. If I can't ill need to make sure I have the 400. Time will tell.
ujs I got the hairy bikers onto my kindle the other day.
I'm hoping to use it on non fast days too.
I love that the recipes aren't too fancy.
