5:2 Cookery Discussion, Tips & Ideas

Has anyone cooked the Zero Noodles the day before you eat them? I would like to make up a Miso soup with veg and Zero Noodles tonight ready for our fast day tomorrow (so DH can take some to work). Just wondering if they still taste okay the next day? I haven't tried Zero Noodles yet so don't know what they actually do taste like!
Thanks in advance for you help
The Zero Noodles are pretty much flavorless on their own and absorb the flavors of the other ingredients. If allowed to sit for a while, as would happen if you made your soup a day in advance, they also absorb lots of liquid. In the case of your soup, there might not be much "soup" left. I'd suggest preparing and packaging the noodles separately (they need to be rinsed well and benefit from brief blanching) and adding them to the soup shortly before eating.
