Hi There

Love salmon but getting bored of it doen with sweet chilli sauce in oven or with soya sauce, brown sugar and honey!

Anyone got a nice fairly low recipe with kind of a white sauce that i can have with broccoli on a fast day?
What are you thinking for Calorie count?
This is absolutely delicious. I make it as a normal (non fast) meal but I'm sure if you upped the veggie count & cut out the noodles it would be low calorie. I will have to add it up..

I have worked out the calorie count for this

Calorie count for Salmon broth recipe according to My Fitness Pal...

Made as per recipe 340.5 calories per portion. This is made with 1 nest of Blue Dragon Medium Egg Noodles and Salmon Fillets as 110gm each.

Made without sesame oil or noodles 236 calories per portion.

I would really check the calories on the salmon you buy as the count seems to vary wildly on the internet!

Hope you enjoy it. It's one of my favourites.
Ooh I might have to give that a go, thank you foxiebex. Will try it on a normal day then work out if I could manage without anything!
Would be interested if you do add it up :).

ema_o, I think you asked for it yesterday when I thought I had trout, turns out it was salmon, still uber delicious.
Thanks imcountingufoz :). Already got it bookmarked for tea on my next fast day :). I couldn't post the link on my phone!
Not a white sauce but still delicious. I put a piece of skinless, boneless salmon on a piece of baking paper. Top with a tablespoon of salsa. Fold to make a sealed parcel then pop in a moderate (180 degree) oven for 10 minutes. Easy and I often make it the night before to pop in the oven when I get home from work on fasting days. My husband who is not fasting has mashed potato with his but I just have a green veg.
Easy....take deep frying pain, add 1/2 water/broth, 2tb low-sodium tamari, add slice of raw onion, garlic clove, 2-3 whole black pepper kernels, dill, and then poach fish in it for about 4 minutes. Take fish out, put broth plus veggies in blender, add 1 Tb low fat sour cream, PRESTO, a lovely sauce! I put the fish ona bed of steamed spinach, then the sauce on top! Enjoy

here is a nice recipe.

Chicory cut in halves. fry them slowly with a drop of oil.
slice your fresh salmon into slices of 0.5 cm. put them on a baking tray and into the oven for 5 min. (130 degrees)

place the chicory on a plate with the salmon on top. Yummy!
I love salmon just on its own! I season with salt, pepper, dried herbs (dill is a good one), and then just pan fry with a little oil or even better bake. I've also topped with pieces of garlic and lemon. Can also do any of the above but make a parcel and bake (no oil required). A side of roasted broccoli to accompany. YUM.
Hi, wrap salmon in foil with a few spring onions chopped, thin slices of fresh ginger and some fresh lemon and and black pepper , so easy and tastes great!
I like salmon with tomato salsa and capers.

These days I usually eat salmon raw, though. salmon sashimi mmmmm
