500 cal dinner ideas please!?
03 Jun 2013, 04:27
Hi all

Just wondering if someone has a trusty 500 cal dinner idea to share? I've switched my fast days up; now just having a 500 cal dinner, but I'm looking for inspiration. Dinner is now a few hours away, and very much looking forward to digging into something....but what? I also need to feed a burly fireman and a rambunctious 3 year old, so being able to cook just one meal would clearly be a winner...

Any ideas that would fit the above would be very much appreciated!

Thanks a bunch!!
Hi Subpop. Have a look at the bbc good food recipe site. You can do a search on recipes per calorie content. Also the recipe thread on here. I cooked Chicken Saag last week thanks to a recipe on here. Add some rice for hubby.
Mmm the chicken saag was deeelicious, we're having that tomorrow again (not a fast day tomorrow, just fancy it!)
Chicken Saag? Have I lived under a rock? I'll be googling that one directly!

Thanks for the hot tip re: bbc website.

Cheers!
although I say so myself, my Kashmiri chicken curry is also delicious - they're both here in this very section :)
