Have you tried ceramic pans?
05 Jun 2013, 19:17
Thought I would try one as they claim not to need extra oil/fat when cooking.
Well I love mine. I bought a large frying pan. I have found when cooking onions I only need one spray of 1cal oil to stop them sticking to the bottom of the pan at the start of cooking. The rest of the food cooks OK without having to add any oil at all. Less calories.

And the best bit is, it is very easy to clean.

Has anyone else discovered these?

Lesley
I've seen them advertised but thought they looked like a gimmick, I will look at them in a new light now. Was yours very expensive?
a pot pan ? or a ceramic non-stick coating on a metal pan ?
I have a ceramic frying pan someone gave me, it's all made of ceramic with a metal base to conduct the heat. I really like it but something got burnt on it and I haven't been able to get it off so it sticks. I didn't think it was possible to ruin the ceramic but my husband managed it!
That's men for you. I bet he didn't read the instructions before using it!!!

Phil, it's the one on the amazon link SianS posted. I got mine from Asda. Same price £29.99.
