Here's a gorgeous pancake recipe with just 70 cals per pancake - cost, 1p each:

http://nobreadisanisland.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/pancakes-using-just-flour-and-water.html

Good for pretty much anyone with a food allergy, since it only contains flour and water - there's a GF version, as well!
Thanks @breadandwine I will put that to the test tomorrow and because that'll be a non-fast day you had better be right or else. Sue
Pancake Day is here! Woooohoooooo.o! thanks for that Recipe B n W! X
They look great breadandwine. Made me feel hungry. Here is a recipe for low carbers/paleo types

Paleo pancakes/crepes 56 calories per crepe, 2g of carbs. Makes 10

6 eggs
3 tablespoons coconut flour
1 cup almond milk or other milk
2 teaspoons of coconut oil, melted
1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Whisk together the ingredients. You must let it sit for 10 mins so the coconut flour absorbs properly, then whisk again.

Put a little oil in the bottom of the pan and heat. pour 1/4 cup of the batter into the hot pan and spread/swirl as you would cook a normal pancake. Cook for 1 min until the edges start to lift, put the spatula underneath and then flip over. Cook the second side for 15 seconds.

Mmmmm, they look good, will give them a go late on, thanks for the VERY simple recipe,

Ballerina x
Oops I forgot it was pancake day. The meals are all planned and in the slow cooker so I can't have pancakes today. There is even a desert already planned and baked so its a no-no for today. Tomorrow is a fast day as well so its going to be Thursday before I can have any.
Hello newbie alart here..I found this recipe on another forum & this + a bananaa and a manderin is my foodie fast for today...the very first day i started it! Turned out pretty good and managed to keep it under 500 cals with sugar n lemon toppings, smoked salmon slices & low fat phili + low fat phili + wafer thin ham at 10 calories a slice. Had a couple of near misses with some rogue chocolate lying around the kitchen but otherwise today has gone well! ive even managed to cut down on squash..+ already planning a healthier than normal 'normal' day tomorrow! Have joined this out of curiosity mainly as no idea if i will be able to stick to this but all the evidence is pointing in the right direction!

a Made these 3 weeks ago and they are excellent.

Low Calorie Pancakes Recipe

Makes 17 servings low calorie pancakes: 26 calories per serving. With the calorie content so low you can add blueberries for a sweet treat, cheese and chives and salmon for a savoury treat or just have plain alongside whatever else you are having. I really like it with a shake of cocoa powder and a teaspoon of low cal fig and ginger jam. Enjoy!

Ingredients
3/4 c. cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. skim milk (I actually use 2% milk so each pancake is more like 30 calories each. bigsmile )
2 egg whites
Directions
1. Sprinkle dash of salt on egg whites and beat until stiff, but not dry.
2. Add milk to flour and salt. Beat until smooth.
3. Add baking powder and beat a few seconds more
4. Fold in beaten egg whites.
5. Pour into the pan and turn once. Should be golden brown.
