I was browsing the web last night trying to find a low cal curry recipe and came across this site. There are some lovely recipes by someone doing 5:2 who clearly loves her food! http://www.london-unattached.com/topics ... et-recipes
These recipes look yum. Thanks Esta. I like the look of Shiratake noodles (prob spelt wrong). Does anyone know if these are stocked by any supermarkets, apart from specialist Asian supermarkets?
Thanks for the link Esta. I love new recipes. You can get shirataki at health food shops, eg holland and Barrett. In my opinion very expensive and an acquired taste. Ive tried them twice now and cant get my head around their texture. You are better off shaving courgette into strips. But many people must like them. Let us know what you think.
I like the and find them very filling. I buy the "eat water slim noodles" and rice and pasta from Ocado. Yes a bit expensive but I figure I save money on food on my fast days. They are on offer at the mo.

I cooked the curry recipe last night. It was fab. It made 3 huge portions. I've frozen the rest of the curry base so I've 2 quick meals for another day. I did use the coconut milk. Worth the extra calories. Having spent 20 years living near Bradford I am a bit of a curry snob but I thought it was very authentic. I did also use a tsp of oil as I don't care for fry light.
Here's the link to the veg curry recipe - it's not easy to find! http://www.london-unattached.com/2013/0 ... ble-curry/
I highly recommend the Spicy Tomato Lentil Soup on that site. I have made it many times and it is so filling and satisfying. It was my go to recipe when I started 5:2.
GREAT Recipe Source! Thanks!

Im drooling at the Fast Day Turkey Stuffed Courgettes, this WILL be made Thursday for my next fast day!

I looked up courgettes, I guess thats the same as Zuchinni for us on the other side of the pond? ;)
dianehelen, yes, courgettes are zucchini and aubergines are eggplant. Mangetout are snow peas.

Hope that helps!
Thanks Clairemarie. I'll give that one a go too.
Thank you.Going to give these a try.
Fran
Thank you mummybunny for the English to American translation :-)
