Gordon Ramsey's broccoli soup
16 Aug 2013, 10:07
Morning...

Ha I seen some really good low calorie recipes on here, thought I'd share one of my favourites. I don. Have i in ever fast day, but certainly 1/5 I reckon.

Chop up a whole broccoli and bring to the boil until tender, seasoning wih salt. Ladle the broccoli into a blende. Keep the water, this is your stock. You want to fill the blender about half way up to the broccoli. Pulse 5 or 6 times. You don want it lumpy but not too liquidy either.

Return to the pan and simmer, seasoning again. Serve when ready.

This recipe is great as it hardly needs any ingredients and uses 1 pan and the blender.
Typing on an iPhone clearly isn't my strong point!!
Hmmmm. Does this taste of anything? Its basically cooked broccoli blended.

Have just had a look at the Gordon Ramsey website and it suggest putting olive oil in before serving or even pouring over goats cheese - do you do any of these or just literally have it as above?
Frustratingly I hit send before completing it!

I do add goats cheese if I have calories to play with. Plenty of season and it is lovely. Made it a few times and always taste good - much better than broccoli that you have boiled for too long if that makes sense
I'll this a go!
that should have said "I'll give this a go"
