I'm a food blogger away from my day job (which isn't so far away, actually) so I have a lot of regular contact with other cooks who blog.

One such is Lavender and Lovage, who I discovered only yesterday is also doing 5:2 (that's the problem for us food bloggers - we like our food too much!).

She's got a lot of really nice 5:2 recipes on her site, all her own, and they are worth checking out. All the separate ingredients are calorie-counted in each recipe and/or have a calorie total per portion. I'm definitely going to be trying out some of them very soon.

Most of my own recipes are decidedly unsuitable for 5:2, although a friend who was doing Weight Watchers for a while worked out the calories in my Winter Root Vegetable Casserole and swears it's only 70 cals a portion.

The link to my full blog is in my signature below, btw.

Hummm, thanks for that, the recipes look delicious!

I'll wait until tomorrow to look at yours as I'm fasting today and I think the temptation may be too much LOL!

I love Karen's recipes at Lavender & Lovage...they all turn out brilliantly & are real & delicious fresh food. I have served lots of her 5:2 recipes to friends and they are truly shocked by the low calorie count - Cajun Chicken Kebabs are a favourite & at 215 calories a portion can be enjoyed freely !

I'm actually fasting today and already have my meals planned out, but I'm definitely going to be cooking from Karen's recipes on my next fast day. I like to plan ahead so I'll buy ingredients in time for Monday. The Cajun chicken sounds very tempting!

Your blog looks lovely. If you are looking for 5:2 inspiration then I have plenty of recipes on my blog, the 5:2 labelled ones are collated here:

But also, I recently put together a post with my fave sites for inspiration that might help (coincidentally, Lavender and Lovage is on there).

Thanks, Stokerface.I'm off to bed right now, ahead of tomorrow's fast but I'll check your own blog out tomorrow. I'm feeling a bit pigged out here (pun unintended) as I've just eaten a huge meal for Rosh Hashanah - tomorrow I shall be very strict on staying within my 500 calories.

Oooh nice blog. I'm a food and lifestyle blogger and I have an entire section dedicated to 5:2 recipes. I add to it quite a lot, and most of the recipes tend to lean towards vegetarian, mainly so I can eat more of it!

BBC Good Food has a bunch of 200-400 calorie recipes at http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/coll ... 0-calories

Some of them look lovely but they are almost all for 4 people and there's only me. Cutting recipes down from 2 portions to 1 is not too hard, but from 4 is very difficult. I don't think I'll be cooking any of these but those of you with bigger households might find them useful!

On my site I give my menus for the week and often link to 5:2 recipes elsewhere.

I've tried Lavender & Lovage's cauliflower crust pizza recently. VERY good!!
