I have to say straight away that I am not vegan; not even vegetarian.

I based this on a Belazu recipe, which is delicious. I make my own preserved lemons (they're very easy)

and this is how I adapted it:

No potatoes
tofu instead of chicken
No olive oil
Olives optional (though not for me as I love 'em, so I had 30g Crespo dry pitted olives)

I made the base dish, then put some in a pan for me. To hub's I added the potatoes and chicken and olives.
To mine I added tofu and olives.
He had his with rice.
I just had the tagine.

Not done total cal count, but a lot less than 500 - and very tasty!!
