Noodles

Hi.

I have just tried the zero noodles for the first time and they were ok haha
I had them mixed in with homemade spag bol as a pasta substitute.

Obviously nothing beats pasta but for 8 cals they were great and bulked my dinner out.Think they would maybe be better suited in a stirfry so might try that next.

Ain't they great? I had them for lunch, with mushrooms, spinach and spring onions.

I like them in a bone broth with 5 Spice added. I also like them with a peanut sauce - hot or cold - on top of a green salad and under a protein source (usually shrimp). I try to use them differently than I would use pasta and thus end up with no comparisons. Of course, I am not a big pasta fan so I don't miss that. I still use the sauces with my protein sources though as I am a fan of sauce!

I prefer the Slim Rice shape to the Noodle shape, and I used them more when I was having lunch on a Fast Day which I now generally manage to skip these days

Hello all!
I got me some zero noodles which I plan to eat tonight for dinner. The thing is there is no plan.
I know that I don't really want to do a tomato pasta sauce type thing and would prefer my meal to be Asian inspired.

I have 240 calories left, don't eat meat but I do eat fish.
Any suggestions?

I am having them today as well I almost eat them every fast, I rinse and drain them well then I boil in a low sodium chicken or beef broth (5 cal) and then I use the broth and noodles and stir in a package of cole slaw mix (14oz) and sautee till liquid is almost gone I add hot pepper flakes and pepper (I like it spicey) sprinkle with a little light soy sauce and a very filling and ymmy meal for 100 calories. To me it taste like lo-mein :)

I have bought three packets of zero noodles but not been brave enough to try them. The reviews on Amazon didnt show them in a good light - still I will eventually get round to trying them.

sounds nice gizmomom!
I could use a vegetable stock cube and then add some prawns for an extra 80 calories.
Coleslaw mix- do you literally mean that bag of shredded carrot and cabbage? What a good idea!!!

I tried the zero noodles last night as I was inspired by gizmomom's recipe. And all I can say is "Wow. What took me so long?" I love them. I ended up eating two packets.

I must add, I didnt smell anything once I opened the bag. I was expecting a real unpleasant fishy smell like some on Amazon talked about - but I smelt nothing :like: .

I did it too. But only half a pack and a bit of veg. Cost me about 40 calories and an hour or so later I was STARVED so used my other 200 on a delicious veggie burger (without bun obviously).

Neeed to be better prepared I feel..
