Center Parcs
I am currently on a massive family weekend break consisting of Two babies under 2, my sister and my offspring and additional extended family the oldest being my brother in law at 53. We are in an exclusive wooden villa in the middle of Elvedon Forest, with games room, sauna, pool table and fabulous en suit bedrooms. We have regular visits from muntjacs, rabbits, squirrels and assorted birds. No fasting or calorie watching at all for his long weekend. Here is the view this morning. I shall return next week with a tuesday morning weigh to assess the damage.

Wow that looks lovely. Are you getting chance to do any spa treatments? Have heard from friends that they're great!

Wonder if center parcs would be good for a 5:2 meetup weekend sometime in the future? Maybe you can be our scout @carieoates ...

Hiya everyone. I'm home now. Feeling yuk still. Fed up with popping the pills now. Anyway, no spa treatments this time, they're quite expensive and we have plenty of nice cheaper spas close by. I did however do boxercise, swimming, badminton, swimming, ten pin bowling. And playing with my great nephew and niece was lovely

No water-slides Caroline?

@SianS oh yes of course I went down the slides, shot down the rapids and drifted around the lazy river. I did not however do the cyclone, and you can imagine what that's like by its name.

I'm glad you had such a good time despite feeling poorly. I think the cyclone must be new since I was last there, and your villa sounds much posher than I remember. Do you feel as if you have been away for weeks? I'm sure that Center Parcs exist in a sort of parallel world where time moves differently

Yes I do feel that time has no meaning there. I can sit for a few hours people watching then doing an activity, when normally I can't sit for more than 15 mins at a time. And the cyclone looks scarey. Our villa was an exec 4 bed, Quite expensive, but next time were upgrading to the one with the hot tub.
