Choc gingers

Hi

Maybe it's a strange place to ask but any one oiut there know of any good deals on choc gingers?

They are my Dad's favourites and falls to me each Christmas to oblige.....

My local shop in town thought I was going to buy a little packet of 5 for 2.50.....hmmmmmm....I know theres a recession on and all that..

Any thoughts appreciated.

I take it you mean the crystallised ginger dipped in chocolate rather than a ginger biscuit? If so its cheaper to make it. You can get the ginger in jars. Still not a cheap ingredient but you get a nice amount. Drain it well, spear on cocktail sticks and dip in melted chocolate. Leave to set on baking parchment. You can fancy it up with paper sweetie cases or a useful jar with a bow! the bought variety only tend to come in plain choc so its nice to make a few milk or white. The white are lovely but you have to be a bit more careful melting the choc. Don't do it or a fast day or you can't lick the spoon!

Yes, I do but the DIY option ain't gonna happen.

Never mind. Maybe it will give someone else a few ideas. :smile: My own personal favourite is home made marshmallows but I just don't know when to stop with those!
