Better late than never Domane. Thanks for the idea. My thank you to you is my little tip for chemical free body moisturizer. Put a few drops of olive oil into your bathwater. It leaves your skin silky and hydrated.

My daughter suffers from eczema and when she was young I used to make a soap substitute by making an emulsion of emulsifying ointment and water and adding some lavender and geranium oil. My son's girlfiend suffers from contact dermatitis due to wearing latex gloves at work. At Christmas I thought I would try making her a handcream using the same method but with coconut oil instaed of emulsifying ointment. The emulsion didn't work properly. I wasn't sure if it was because I had the proportions of water and oil wrong or if I didn't stir it for long enough ( I was quite busy with other stuff!) Anyway maybe I will try again using this method.
Thanks@Domane
Also I wonder if it is possible for one of the moderators to combine this thread with the other one on coconut oil as I think other people may be interested in this and it had sort of got lost down the list of topics.
