My hands were aching with pain as well, they were freezing, this was an hour later of the said very cold shower.
Thanks for reading.

I noticed the same thing, when I started I took only three minutes, and felt this warmth afterwards. When I've increased to 10 minutes it can take an hour or two to feel warm again. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing. How long do you shower, what temperature?

I hot shower for about 4 minutes and 90% cold shower for 2 minutes and 100% cold for about 40secs. Too painful on the skin.

Shortly after i posted last, I went down with a couple of colds, one after another - so I put cold showers to one side.

I've just started again, and I've found it amazingly easy to get back into. I began with 20 seconds a week ago, and this morning I managed 3 minutes! Of course, by this stage I could have kept going, but then it becomes a question of how long do you need to keep going for.

I'll have to go back and look at the research! :)

How's everyone else going?

a as long as I want

Forgive me washing in cold water strikes me as being a certain type of madness.

If ou fall in a cold river you can anticipate your heart packing up after a few minutes. Showering in cold water???? :?:

Not the whole shower, soap does not want to come of as easy with cold water.

I turn the hot tap completely off for about 3/4 minutes, do not know the temperature , eternity it feels like, its not so bad in this supposed summer we are having, when its colder the skin hurts. But I am strangely addicted to it. weird or what? I'm not there long enough to die from hypothermia
