ESP moment!
07 Nov 2013, 23:26
Normal day today, housework this morning then off to work for the late shift.

All going well when 330pm came and I stopped in my tracks and my head filled with sheer panic. "aaaggghhh Mins forgot she's at after school club and she's gone home"
and then as quick as it came the panic went and I carried on with work.

It would appear that at this time my Min was indeed staring at an empty locked up house and freaking out. She's just turned 11 and in her last year at primary school so she probably was freaking a wee bit. Did her "freak" reach me 15 miles away at work, who knows, but I knew what had happened!

Ever had one of those moments when you just know???

Yes, Minsmum , I've had a freaky moment too. A few years ago , OH and I were on holiday in Normandy , when the lift in our hotel shuddered to a halt between floors. Nothing too drastic ( it was an old building , maybe 3 stories high) ,but the lights went out and we shouted " au secours , au secours !" ( help, in French ! ) and were finally rescued half an hour later . The hotel staff, incidentally , were unperturbed ( casual is how I'd describe them !). as this apparently happened fairly frequently throughout the season.

However , my younger daughter phoned from home , about an hour later : " Mum, are you ok ? I've just had the most peculiar feeling that something's wrong ". . . . . spooky , eh ?

No esp here but my grandmother was uncanny. She always knew when someone was ill. She knew her brother was arriving home from the war on a particular day even though no one told her. She insisted on going to the docks and there he was.
Maybe it's time for Min to have a house key just in case.

I have had plenty of "freaky" moments. One was at 9.10am on the day my cat died. I just stepped out of my favourite cafe with my morning coffee as I headed off to work (starting at 9.30am) and I stopped dead in my tracks and started crying, I knew my cat had died. When I got home that night my mum told me that my cat had died that morning at 9.10 am.

:( That is very sad TheFrog. I once had a dream/nightmare, I woke up crying. I'm not going to tell you all about it because it's very upsetting but the next day my nightmare played out. With different people involved but still the same as what I'd seen in my sleep. I totally don't understand how this could happen but I've been very interested in the mind ever since. How can we sometime see these thing. I'm amazed by it.

I think sometimes we just know. Its strange that it seems mostly bad news we sense My husband told me about Mins adventure. I told him I know, he asked me how. I told him I just knew when it happened. He is convinced I am a witch as its not my first I know moment!!

(Luckily Min had the sense to hot foot it back to school and got there just as they were calling the Police and me to report her missing!!)

My son had such a moment. He was on holiday in New York and was on a subway train when he had a feeling he should get off at Times Square and have a coffee. So he did and it saved his life because he was on his way to the Twin Towers (top floor) on the subway train. It changed him forever. You can't imagine for one moment what I felt about that, I thought I had lost him that day because I knew that that was where he was going when those planes hit.

OMG that was some premonition @Auriga. You must have been out of your mind that day until you knew he was safe.

My son was on the underground when London got hit. He rang me when he got out but then got on the bus just before that blew. He was ok luckily. It wasn't his bus but the same number.
I was in shreds ...
