Feeling Pleased with myself
14 Feb 2014, 17:29
Just completed and past my First aid at work course so feeling really pleased with myself.

The guy running the course has made the last 3 days so much fun that although we have been looking at some very gruesome injurious I have spent most of the last 3 days in stitches (pardon the pun). He had lots of funny antidotes and stories to tell form his paramedic days and came up with some great scenarios for the different aliments.

His version of Elvis Presley death will live with me for a long time.

We should all have this training. Good on ya.
I am a first Aider at my school. You would not believe what we have to sort out. Mainly new shoe blisters, epilepsy, panic attacks, special needs. But my worse was a chopped off and mangled finger. Then there was the lad who put his fist through a glass door. Huh
All in a days work. Good to have the necessary training in case you need it at home .
I did find a lad who'd tried to take his own life once, but that's another story.
