first toast
12 Sep 2014, 07:19
I bought a fancier toaster hoping it will last longer than 3 years. It will count down till its cooked., Am wondering do you eat the first slice you cook in it? I had my eyes over the heat and it hurt my eyes like crazy and had a funny burnt toxic smell, but the toast looked fine, but my eyes were not fine. Nothing in the booklet about it. Thanks

Never really thought about- but putting your eyes over the heat to watch it was probably not a good idea!

If in doubt, throw toast out.
Pop in a new slice and it should be fine.
