I like the builder too. No airs and graces or histrionics he just gets on with it and produces great baking. I like the pencil behind the ear too, should keep them all grounded.
What drama in the GBBO tent this week! A 'show stopper ' thrown in the bin by Ian, Diane leaving due to illness, accidental sabotage - is this really what we expect from our bakers? I'm enjoying the 'Extra slice' programme on Fridays too, although I would like to see more out takes from the show and hear more from the panel. The builder (?Richard) was awarded Star baker' for a second time, let's hope that he can keep it up, although there's a couple of the women who are also very good. Looking forward to next week -pies!
And tarts!
Just finished watching the final on catch up. Well, a bit of a surprise, but the best person won (not saying who in case anyone missed it) . Absolutely brilliant
Byes a worthy winner in my opinion. The scones, Victoria sandwiches and lemon tarts showed who was the true expert.
I agree with you @rawkarenand @carieoates. The best baker on the day was a worthy winner. I will miss GBBO but now there is the GBBO Masterclass to look forward to!
