Girly gift bag ideas
02 Dec 2013, 03:57
Hey everyone,

I've had a look on the interweb but not much is coming up. I plan on making my friends some gift bags for Christmas and including lots of little goodies (I am not sure what they want so thought this would be a good idea).

All I have thought of so far is those miniature bottles of booze - baileys, tia maria etc and then maybe the little travel sized toiletries. Does anyone else have any ideas? I want it to be a bit more exciting than bubble bath and lipgloss :)

Hi Lil, if you're not totally averse to bath products and skincare, Lush do fabulous bath bombs and beautiful-smelling lip tints, cuticle creams etc. in cute little jars. Also in my opinion you can never go wrong with Lindt Lindor chocolate balls, they come in several yummy flavours. Scratchie tickets, earrings/rings/necklaces/anklets, pretty pens, hair ties/clips etc. Depends on how much you want to spend of course, but movie/store gift cards could be an option too, or a gift voucher for any kind of pampering - pedicure, manicure, eyebrow shape... Hope that helps!

Depends how much you intend to spend really. I like those lovely chocolates you can get (yeah, yeah, I know!), little penguins, festive handmade ones. Why not make some Xmas muffins or truffles, something hand made is always really nice. Funny how I always end up back at food!! If you want to spend the money, a personalised china mug? With a favourite photo, animal or something on it?
I am hopeless at this sort of thing I must confess.

@AiriR I assume there is some sort of computer glitch that published your post over and over but I must admit that I did laugh when I then noticed your signature, how appropriate

Anything travel sized and travel bags. Nail Polish is always welcomed so long as the colours are not freaky!

Thank you!
Girls night in themed bag sounds lovely. Also the scratch cards, hadn't thought of that :)
And lol @ Airi!

Little pots of oils from the body shop. They do a lovely nut oil that isn't greasy, so can be used on the hair.

I have a chocolate mold for making full size erect 'mens wedding tackle' that I send out to friends and female family for birthdays and hen parties. I think I got it from Ann Summers. Something similar for a bit of fun. It wasn't quite 'goody bag size' though, it fit in a shoe box and weighed about a half pound.
That reminds me, I need to make one for my daughters, boyfriends Mum.

Julie, you always make me laugh out loud. This reminds of going to a friends house and on her table was a gold wrapped chocolate cockerel  so I remarked that......oh, work it out for yourself  Keep up the good work,

This thread is totally cracking me up!

I'm at a loss for ideas for Lil, though. There is a shop in Sheffield I used to go to for small gifts, called Within Reason. They had cool, unique jewelry but also lots of bits and bobs that were useful but that you would never have thought you needed. i have a pretty lipstick case with a mirror that I still use all the time.
