@carorees, have just asked the old man why we got married on my birthday, and apparently it was so I wouldn't forget the date?! I have been known to forget the year however. Talk about role reversal!!!

I chose April 1st for my wedding date so that my late-husband (passed away 3.5 years ago ) wouldn't forget the date, problem was he always remembered that we were married on April Fools day but couldn't always remember that April 1st is April Fools day!

We got married on 15th April, which turns out to be the same date as the Titanic sank and the Hillsborough football stadium disaster - they say these things come in threes...

Anyway, it's 25 years for us next time, if MrsPete can just hang on a bit longer...

I was just thinking about you during one of our Christmas meals, as the daughters were talking about the joys of going to thrift stores and finding pants/jeans/trousers that are just the right size AND length, since some shorty has already done the hemming
