Happy Halloween!!
31 Oct 2013, 19:40
Did you have any candy today? Any plans or trick or treating? Soon as the hubby is home from work we will be off to his parents for our annual traditional Halloween chili dinner. It is not my fast day and there will be chocolate. Probably, plenty of it even though trick or treating has been called for weather all over our state and rescheduled for tomorrow.

Due to incoming bad weather, they have postponed trick or treating to tomorrow in many of the towns in our area - heavy rains, high winds, and kids - not a good combo! So we'll relax tonight and see the kiddos tomorrow!

Same here, just a state above you in Indiana. 9yo son is just off the bus and a little bummed. They had a field trip today which was also cancelled for weather and now trick or treating, too.

Still waiting for trick or treaters here (not even 6pm yet) feeling a bit sick after having a little reece's, kitkat and an almond joy. I know they are tiny but I'm really surpised at how much my tummy is rejecting them! I can't even remember the last time I had regular chocolate, normally just have a small square of 90%.

For a fitting end to our Halloween tale, we arrived home around 9:30 pm and by 9:45 the power started flickering and went out. 16yo dd was in the shower with shampoo in her hair! The power stayed off for almost two hours until around 11:30pm. It was a lucky thing I made a really strong garlic dip tonight...to keep away the vampires.

Almond Joy, sweet coconut with an almond on top all covered in milk chocolate. Yummy! but very sweet ! There is a Mounds bar too, same thing but without the almond and I think it's dark chocolate. The jingle is "almond joys got nuts, mounds don't" there's more but can't think of the rest at 6am on a Sat. :dazed:

Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don't. Almond Joy's got nuts. Mounds don't. Because...sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes ya don't! ;)
