I am going on Monday to my local surgery where a specialist French team visit & hold a clinic to treat leg veins. I believe my first visit is to be assessed by ultrasound to check the venous flow of my non varicose veins & then the probable treatment is injecting a foam that glues the vein closed. I'm not particularly looking forward to it & wonder if any of you have had this done & could share your experience?
I believe that unlike the old stripping operations that I afterwards wouldn't have to wear support tights or walk miles to pep venous circulation?
I have many unsightly varicose veins, thread veins & spider veins that I wanted sorted out because in November I have a long flight to Japan & Im worried about DVTs.
Any advice or shared experiences of this would be very welcome.
Thank you
Margaret
