House contracts exchanged
14 Nov 2013, 13:05
After what has been a quite stressful 10 days, with solicitors going back and forth between each other, we've finally exchanged contracts on our sale and purchase this morning....... and relax! Moving on Tuesday 3rd December - just in time to get the Christmas decorations up. Yeaaaaaaaaah! Huge relief - feel like going out to lunch to celebrate, but I'm fasting today - drat! It'll have to wait until tomorrow!!
Wohoooooo - we're off to the seaside (Whitstable here we come!!)

Congrats Sue! What a relief when it's all gone through and you get your moving date. I'm in the middle of all this at the moment, aiming to move mid Jan (quite fancied pre-Christmas, but apparently no-one else in the chain agreed).

Pop open some bubbly tomorrow and celebrate :) ...then start packing! How exciting :D

Thanks everyone
@Moogie who's Sue?? I'm a Clare !! Think you must be confusing me with my former self (4 stone heavier)... but maybe I could use it as a pseudonym for any bad behaviour on the forum ). Enjoy your last Christmas in your home - a new one for next year eh! :clover:

@isis Not downsizing yet (!) - want to make sure we've got space for 3 grown kids and potential partners etc., to come visit. Moving 60 miles east to Whitstable - yeaahh. Wanted to be near the sea for ages and ages, so it's a dream come true (after a lot of hard work and planning that is)

Well all the packing's going to keep me occupied for a while (especially on fast days) so maybe I will make my goal and be a 69er by Christmas

Congratulations! What a beautiful part of the world you are going too. I used to live in Kent and bought my fish every Saturday morning there from the oyster sheds. Happy memories! I hear its all very cool and trendy now! :like: :like: :like:

Oh congratulations! What a relief for you all. I'm very envious as I'd love to live by the sea. Do you actually have sea views from your new house?

What a fab Christmas you'll have!!

Sorry Clare, it's funny I always think of you as Sue, short for Suchard! My apologies - I'll endeavour not to make that mistake again!
