Hi Melbournites!
I will be in the city on Thursday 30 January, and would be able to meet for coffee from 2.30 on, if anyone is interested and available.
I know that Thursday is a common fasting day but we could help each other through it (and select a meeting place that is NOT known for yummy cakes or such like!!!)
There was also a suggestion that if we want a chocolate fiesta then we could meet just before St Valentine's Day - let me know if that would be a preference.
Others have also suggested that getting together for a walk would be great.
So suggestions welcome, but would still love to meet any of you on Thursday if that suits.
Cheers
Sassy
Thanks for putting this out there, Sassy. I would certainly be in for a weekend walk soon (if the weather's not too hot!) - but I can't make this Thursday as I'm off to Sydney for a workshop. Hope to meet some fellow 5/2ers soon!
I'm still in Sassy1 but don't have any suggestions of where to go.
I hope by bouncing this up again we might get some more interest.See you Thursday Carmel
I posted on the old thread earlier @Sassy1 I can do thurs or a week end perhaps.

Currently down at PI soaking up some sun and nice walks.

See you soon.

Cheers maggie
Thanks gals, I will be near Flagstaff station so somewhere around there would suit me. But I am happy to go to other CBD locations.

We can confirm the venue the day before. :)

Will wait to see if we hear from anyone else...
Only just saw other post from Maggiee about meeting close to Flinders St, so will see what others think. :)

I will be in Melb even if it is hot as I have appts in the morning and am meeting a former work colleague for lunch. But if it is too hot for others to travel in, no worries, we can reschedule for a weekend walk instead. :D
actually I just saw the response - @Sassy1 - sorry I have been down the beach.

Either way - it may in fact be too hot this Thursday - I am quite happy to do a walk on a week end as my OH works on week ends, so I am usually free.

cheers
Maggie
I'll be at work (starting a new job tomorrow!) so alas, no Thursday catch-up for me.

If we can organise a weekend walk or something (when it's a bit cooler - not this weekend with 38 degrees+), that would be brilliant.

Have a great time on Thursday :)
I wish I could join but I am overseas and back in Melbourne 2nd Feb. Count me in for next get-toghers for sure. Enjoy the day.
I'm still available despite the heat so let me know where and when to meet up Sassy 1 and I'm sure we can find a cool spot to have coffee and a chat
Carmel
Hi @carmelk46 and anyone else who can make it, if you are happy to meet at flagstaff station that would be great for me. 2pm at the top of the escalators - near where the lift comes out - at SW corner William and Latrobe sts.

I have reddish frizzy shoulder length hair and glasses. Will be in white jeans and hopefully a new top that I plan to buy tomorrow, so will let you know tomorrow night re colour!!

For everyone else, shall we wait til later in Feb for the walk? Sunday is better for me unless it is later in the day.

Cheers! :)
Have a great catch-up tomorrow girls, I look forward to the next one later in Feb perhaps on a week end.

Enjoy the day.

Cheers maggie.
Just wanted to add that Carmel and I did meet up and had a lovely chat with coffees (no food!) on a warm Melb afternoon :D

Thanks @carmelk46 :)

Should we start a new strand for the weekend walk?
 What? no pics! Hope you had a great time anyway! x
