I'm doing really well thank you very much, just a little dull back ache now and then. Back onto the full fast wagon now.
Fantastic looking and well placed. You can tell when a cook has designed a kitchen rather than a 'designer', the kitchen makes sense.
So, when are we all coming over for dinner then???
Love all the cupboards and cabinets and massive countertop space! The cats and the butterflies are a wonderful whimsical touch.
Just wondered @wildmissus if the butterflies and cats are stencilled or are they decals? (think that's the word?!)
Oh it's LOVELY! We recently updated our kitchen and I chose that same purple/aubergine (your blind) colour for mine too!
I've seen the cats and butterflies as stickers on ebay and amazon. I use stickers myself to change a rooms 'feel'. My lounge is now covered in stars. When I get bored I will change them out. I also have a massive 'rock climber' in the stairwell of my house and Martyns room has a massive 'Pacman' decal running across one wall.
Thanks everyone for your kind comments. We did it with quite a low budget for the size of the room, the carcasses, doors and worktops came from Ikea, the oak effect tiles are from B & Q. @callyanna the cats and butterflies are exactly what Julie says - wall stickers/vinyl decals from ebay.
It wasn't until I cooked Christmas dinner that it was apparent that our choices were just spot on. I will be spending a lot of time in my kitchen now.
I didn't want a kitchen that looked like the ones in the brochures so put in a lot of effort to get something I wanted rather than what is 'in' at the moment. Can't wait for the doors to get tatty so that I can paint them . I really enjoyed doing it but OH said he wouldn't do it again - he prefers to tinker with cars instead.

I'm jealous ! We had a new kitchen when we moved in25years ago and there is no way I could persuade my OH that it is dated!
