I'm so glad I have this forum to come to for relaxation after reading the opinion pages here in the US today. Are we a crazy country or what? Perusing these forums helps to calm me down.

There's a lot of crazy disharmony all over the planet currently. Keeping head down seems obligatory.
Let's lighten it up by losing some weight and smiling through :0)

Am also following the news in the US with great interest, I am still a citizen. It will all get sorted out, except perhaps for Global Warming which few nations are willing to do anything about.
I give everyone at home in US a hard time about how things are so much "better" here in Canada, but the politicians here are almost as bad - so much cronieism and behind the scene dealmaking in local and national politics.

Hi Marybeth..my advice for what its worth is,don't watch the news or read the papers!
So much in the news is beyond our control..plus a lot of it is misguiding
Let's take Azureblue's advice and drop some weight and lighten up this planet! X

There's an opinion piece by Gail Collins in the NYT that I couldn't agree with more.
A quote from it: "Our elected officials are loonier than Iran. Than the pope on sex. Less useful than Vladimir Putin.
Oh, dear."
I do feel obliged to read the news from time to time, and I'm usually sorry I did.
