Non-cr@p du jour by Thalia

Hello my loveys!

How are you this wonderful morning/evening/afternoon?

Sorry for not keeping in touch but my signal here is a bit crappy. Today the weather was joining the signal and went crappy as well. Rain and thunder last night, clouds and humidity this morning.

Lots of crap, you say? Well, not on my behalf, LOL! Everything here is lovely except for the water (spring and bottled, mind you) which causes the bowels to stop moving. I'll spare you any details but I will say that for the past 3 days I am sooooo bloated that I look like I am 4 months pregnant. :curse:

Anyway, on the happy stuff, the hotel is fab, the pool is double fab and the food is triple fab. Thank God for drinking at night and missing a couple of breakfasts, LOL! :like:

The buffet is huge but I try to not overdo it. I don't eat much for breakfast anyway, I eat lunch in the salad plate (but I put the salad in an extra plate, he he) and I avoid second helpings unless I dislike something very much (and I have to replace it) or I like something very much (and I absolutely must have it again and try to figure out the recipe).

The desserts buffet is to die for. I know I have gained a little and I know it is because of the sweets and ice cream. If it wasn't for them, I'd go home same weight but with a huge tummy, LOL!

I hit the SPA today. Jacuzzi, steam bath, sauna and swimming pool. I did my laps indoors since it was too cold for the outdoors ones. :like:

On top of the above, there is a volley ball team staying here and they are all SO YUM!!! At least 6 gorgeous men, with gorgeous bodies -albeit too tall- and very nice manners are all over the place. Eye candy all the way.

As you can tell, if I can make a business trip sound like a holiday then it is a very successful one and I'm very pleased. Hopefully, I'll say the same when I get on the scales on Thursday. I got to say, with the water problem and the sweets, I feel that I'm doing something wrong and many times I feel guilty when I eat which is VERY bad and I have to stop it!!!

So, how have you been? Naughty, I hope!

Definitely naughty TML - see the 'are you still awake' thread. And Julie is in her shed trying out new tools as we speak, having broken through her plateau ...

'Cat litter' is the new must-have accessory, thanks to @miffy49

Your feta cheese (and any dessert you can scrounge from the buffet) will be very welcome later on ...

 :victory:  :victory:  :victory:

Cat litter? I've got tons of it back home!

Feta and lots of syrup desserts, although with not too much syrup. Just the way I like them. There was a chocolate baklava the other day that was heaven (and hell) on a plate. Today, they had a chocolate pie -among others- that I named "death by chocolate".

Hi TML  Well I'm sorry I missed this post X. But does sound more like a holiday than work to me, glad you're getting a little enjoyment into you week the spa sounds amazing, on return from a holiday earlier in year I didn't get o the scales ( because we're water babes ) I waited a week and by then I was same as the day I got on the plane (cheating no)
MMMmmmm chocolate baklava sounds delicious luv your traditional dessert never had the chocky version
Well you're probably on your last day today so put a little relax time in for yourself. Safe journey home + catch-up soon  Sue

I can recommend eating some coconut meat for breaking non-transit problems, for me anyway! Keep having fun :0)

Honeys, I'm home!
Apart from the (non) toilet from, which BTW can really mess one up, everything was smooth and nice. I would even dare to say relaxing.
I've already had a few TS of my mum's special laxative (the one we give to grandma) and a couple of Colaxes (that's aloe vera with a few more herbs) and lots of water. I am so bloated, I could scream!!!
I got on the scales as soon as I returned. I could have scared the sh!t out of me with the number I saw but no such luck, LOL!
No worrying though, since it's been 8 days since I last had a proper you-know-what, so I'm guessing that as soon as the... bulk goes away, I'll see better numbers. ;-)
I am pretty sure that there was something in the water because I also suffer from water retention (I can see it in my toes and fingers) and a few other people complained that they had either diarrhoea or constipation. At least I had the lesser of two evils!!!

Haaaa haaaaaaa!!! And good thing that I have a better toilet than the one in Trainspotting!!!

Shame on you, Sue. Those toilets are in the islands and the villages, I'm sure my Athens bathroom will take it all in, LOL!!!

Pfffffffffffffffft... can't say that I did any "proper" job. But I'm patient.

BTW, I have a very interesting trivia of the day. Did you know who is responsible for the faulty plumbing in some Greek islands (not all of them have problematic pipes)? The Brits! They constructed plumbing and sewage and they used the wrong size of pipes. ;-)

Morning TML  Well you learn something every day on this forum,
I suppose we shouldn't be surprised really just imagine the picture load of chunky men miles away from there families and friends working there wotsits off day after day in the Blazing Blazing Very Hot Greek Sun
Lying around on extended brekie + lunch + afternoon tea breaks and
obviously they'd have to do the local siesta. Basically not many hours worked in a day and also watching + wolf whistling at all the beautiful local ladies walking past, by that time they'd be in such a worked up state they wouldn't know which pipe work went where !!!
Glad you managed to get a better class of workforce on the mainland.
Hope you are OK today   Sue
