Love it, favourite opera Tosca, but best experience , seeing Madame Butterfly at the Sydney Opera house, the most wonderful part of our time in Australia.

My parents tried to "educate" me but never succeeded, I tried to be intellectual with classical music, but it never stuck either. I'm just a rock chick
Unfortunately, I'm a rock chick at heart too, it's in my heart, it's in my soul... groan...
Although I do love opera too. I hate C & W, though. There's a bonus.
Yep, I love opera, and like Wolfie was lucky enough to see a couple at Sydney Opera House, I find it very relaxing to listen to at work.
Also rock chick, punk chick (the 70s stuff!), modern Aussie music a la Triple J, blues, but hate, absolutely hate jazz, country AND western!!!!
Oh groan pennyforthem, please don't bring Rod into it!

Oh jazz... do not understand it.

I'm with Manderley on this. I love classical music but I'm not an opera fan. Strangely I do like choir music.
