Query about PMs

Hi, I'm obviously doing something wrong but can anyone tell me why when I've replied to a pm and pressed submit to send that my reply still appears in my outbox. I'm never sure whether my reply has actually been sent or not!

@callyanna they stay in your inbox until the recipient opens and reads the message, all good
