So sorry for your loss, big love to you and yours xx
My deepest sympathies to you and yours. And thank you to all of you for so generously thinking of others.
Condolences are always hard...
What I've learned from circumstances similar to yours' and @sallyo from losing my mom and other close relatives is that that occasional unexpected heart tug that you'll feel and the flood of happy memories that quickly follow are their way of letting you know that they're still with you.

So sorry to hear this news. My Mum too is looking after my Dad, who has Multiple Systems Atrophy, which is also a degenerative brain disease, and she has looked after him for the past 4years at home. It is a very tough call. Look after yourself and especially your Mum. All the best for tomorrow and the future days to come.

I am battling to maintain my fathers independence as he sinks deeper into dementia. A very difficult time for you but as others have said the suffering is over. Hope all is bearable tomorrow.
