Re: Slightly Chuffed

Hadn't heard the expression "vanity sizing" , rawkaren , but now I think I get it !

Like you , I was pleased to be an M &S size 10 ( though not in French Connection, Hobbs etc.)

Seems M & S make their small sizes larger ( if you see what I mean) , so we THINK we're smaller than we actually are . . . ?!?!?!? Clever marketing trick, eh?

I'm 5'3" and weigh 9 stone 2lbs , which is thanks to 5:2 - I was 10st 7lbs six months ago - but in fact I could still happily lose another 7-12 lbs and never be labelled "skinny" . . . . . however wearing M & S "size 10 " lulls me into a false sense of security . . . .

Anyway , fasting again tomorrow ( Mondays and Thursdays are my Fast Days at the moment) . Finding it hard to be "good" on non- fast days at the moment , as lots of social events eg grand -children's birthdays , meal with ex-colleagues , anniversaries etc. ( why does celebrating always involve food ?????)

Anyway , onwards and downwards , as they say ! ( haven't joined the Christmas Club as I wasn't sure I could show 100% commitment ). Here's to 2014 !

size 6 is a child's size, surely! I'll just feel normal when I get to size 14 and I don't think beyond that. But size 10, that's certainly something to write home about!

If it makes you feel good then it's a win! I felt like that when I bought my first pair of size 20's! I had dropped from a 28 so felt justified in my celebration - lol! If I get to a 16 I'll be happy as well as amazed!

Well done lady! Size 10... That's what dreams are made of! I'm aiming for size 12 instead of 14 which I am most of the time. My big hips, arse and thighs are to blame!
