South-East England, r u ok?

You get a bit cut off at Xmas time, but I just read about the storms, floods and power cuts in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Are you all ok?

Don't know how it was in England exactly but we had some floods and power cuts here as well. The wind went up to 150km/h (93mph) which is worse than during the 1999 storm. Yesterday there was 2 meters (6.56ft) in the South, around Nice, where OH is from. All is better now but there are still power cuts

We have had a glorious 24 hours in Northumberland. Sunny, no wind and frosty. However I think we are going to get a bit of a thumping later today...... It must be dreadful being flooded at anytime of year, never mind Christmas. The footage is dreadful. I'm also very glad not to be one of those who got stuck in Gatwick airport....

My thoughts are with all those who have been affected.

Caught the news late last night; lots of people flooded and without power in the south.
And another huge storm with rain and wind is coming in from the North Atlantic for tomorrow.
Frosty but bright today, so will make the most of that.

I live near Gatwick and all the streams, rivers around us flooded so we were cut off for a short while. Luckily, I got all my Christmas food shopping on Monday, and by yesterday the roads were much more passable. Today, Boxing Day, the sun is shining through my window but I think we are forecasted to have more storms on the way!
