Good topic. I am thankful that it is school holidays and I didn't have to go to work today; to OH who weeded some garden bed today; for graph paper on which to work out knitting problems; for a relatively easy fast day; certainly I am very thankful that I found the 5:2 diet which is such an easy and effective way to lose weight. I am thankful I live in a warm house and we are not threatened by any climatic disasters, like floods, typhoons, bush fires etc. It's not even raining and yet, we are not experiencing a drought. So many things to be thankful for.

I am thankful for a beautiful warm sunny 4days in Glasgow looking after grandchildren. Sheer joy and fun. I am sure I will be equally thankful for the peace and quiet next week being able to follow the exercise routine and diet that suits me.

What a lovely thread!

It is so easy to get bogged down with the everyday stuff that we forget to be grateful for the simple things....like a bird's song or the sun on our face. Being mindful of what is going on around us...is what it is all about. Stop and smell the roses from time to time....we could all do with reminding to do that from time to time....until it becomes a habit.

Personally, I have a long way to go before it all becomes second nature, but with 5:2 I have noticed quite an upturn in my mood, which is wonderful.
