Hi friends.
I'm loving the forum page today. I love that the announcements are moved to below the active topics. Most importantly the active topic section is full of individuals posting questions or celebrations and just wantind support or feedback which is what we love to do. This is how it used to be 6 months ago I think when there was more action around here. Well done @Moogie!

I agree. Its quite an improvement!

Is there anyway to shrink the individual thread listings so that more would display on that front page? It is still very hard to find all the threads with new activity. The more recent threads that get displayed, the more people will participate!
I think a lot of forum members would be even more happy if one change was made to style sheet. Tell your web developers @Moogieits one line of code in style.css or other. font tags use one of these em directions.. whatever it is adjust to at least double what it is. at 100% screen size on 1920 x screen res i defy anyone 40 plus without glasses to read it. i manage by knowing how to increase screen size but because im inside this forum on and off it makes other sites too big.

I help on a lot of web sites and honestly for the fancy high res screens its a major problem with a simple fix.

. this is how i see the screen at 100% .if you can open the attachment in full size you wlll see the problem. left hand menus are particularly tiny

i usually hope for 13 pixels or even 14 pixels for standard body text.. i think its showing 10pixels or less.

i tried to attach a file to demonstrate but it now only lets me upload a 400 pixel wide image (it used to allow 1200 and restrict only on size of file. But i think thers enough forum members saying same thing and readability in a forum is paramount to success.

Sometimes web technicians see only the technical side of things and for some reason dont want to change things visually
Completely agree with you @Julianna :like:
All that's needed now is your lovely photograph back again :like:
miss your happy new weightloss smile.
Hi, @peebles. When I visit the forum, I always use the 'Vie new posts' link on the left hand side of the page (or at the bottom on my ipad mini). That way, I know which threads are busy and where people are posting. In addition, because it shows which thread you have read to the end (by turning the circle with the right arrow in from grey to white) it also means that you can then see if there have been further posts since you first read it.

My apologies if you know this already but it may be helpful for any newbies who are trying to find their way around the site. I know that there are still things that I have trouble with and that's after a year and three-quarters! :frown:

I agree, view new posts and view your posts is the answer to know whats happening. depending on how often you visit, view new posts is often only a page long. If a new post has a tonne of replies it means its usually worth going into.

view unread posts is always just way too long to go through as i sometimes just dont want to read some or they are tents i dont belong to.
Lovely to see you @julianna x
Thanks @Sue.Q ! I've just sent @Moogie an email with the photo attached asking her to reinstate my avatar today!
Xxx
Julianna, your avatar is under@Sue.Qs bed..she keeps avatars down there along with her supply of booze!
Just saw this @CandiceMarie you are so funny. I love the sparring between you and @Sue.Q. Oh and look Suey, my avatars back. Yay!
Re the forum page ,even though the tents are great and I participate in them , I think when most of the active topics are from tents some newbies might be put off as they don't know what they're all about and hesitate to peek inside. When the active topics are individuals questions or celebrations it may be more likely people will open them up and participate. Any hoo , that's my thoughts and a big thank you to @Moogie for reinstating my avatar and sorry I'm so hopeless at computer stuff. Dominic's advice on installing an avatar is like a foreign language to me.

So nice to see you again @julianna Your photo is even better than I remembered really lovely, well done moogie where would we be without you? Up the creek without a paddle.

I'm still VERY camera phobic Jullianna maybe one day in the near future I'll find one acceptable enough to enjoy/like even!!!
yours shows just how happy in your own skin you've become to those of us who remember your first avatar photo nice though that was this one is so lovely.
Thank you @Sue.Q ,what a lovely thing to say. I know exactly what you mean about being camera phobic. When I first asked Moogie to put this photo of myself on the avatar I told her that it was the first photo I'd liked of myself in 10 years so I feel the same way. I know one day soon you will see a photo of yourself that you like but just remember and always know this- you are one of the most beautiful person that I know. Your sensitivity, support and humour that is evident everyday proves this and I know all our forum friends would agree.
