The use of a juicer
05 Aug 2013, 09:47
I don't even know if it's a right word for it as, when I look at the translation juicer seems to mean "presse agrumes" (oranges, lemon, etc) and I am talking about the thing where you put apple, bananas, strawberries to juice them....

Anyway... My mom gave me hers as she had it for years and never used it (why did she buy it in the first place ? no idea....) and, after a good wash I decided to try it and damned I am in love with this thing....

Can you imagine, I put an apple and two nectarines too "old" to be eaten and woaw... I am in love....

My question is, because I have a question, in fact I have 2 questions, what are the fruits you can put in it (can I put carottes or spinach for example - I know spinach is not a fruit but I was thinking about it - and can you make juices from canned fruits to make juices (I am thinking abricots and pineapple) ?

Thanks :like:

https://www.juicemaster.com/recipes and many other sites give recipes.

Not sure which type you have, many won't juice a banana but just mush it. Harder vegetables like carrots are fine in some types but too much for others.

Hi yes it's a juicer. Any fresh fruits or veggies can go in. Depending on which type you have you may have to chop them first. But juicers are great for sad looking fruit.
Don't know about canned fruit never really thought about it, give it a go. I guess fresh is best but if that's all you have........ Use it

Hi manderlay I would think your fresh fruit is fine for making smoothies take a good look at Phil's recipes :like: you may have to precook some veggies and could in some juicers make soups with precooking the veg
Happy juicing :clover: Sue

soups... woaw if I can make soup with it it will be a game changer. I dream of a cauliflower soup and I can't find a good recipe anywhere. I have a head blender and it's not really something I like to use. I will give it z try with precooked veg

Thanks for the sites, it gave me plenty of ideas. Juices will probably be part of my fasting days, or some of them anyway from now on. Who know, they may help shred the pounds... .

And last night I did a melon juice and it was a wonder
