This poor guy :(
25 Oct 2013, 13:35
I was looking on the BBC site today and saw this article:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-24668884

He may not be a 5:2er, but I'm sure I'm not the only one here who really feels for this guy. It must be awful to be carrying all that extra weight in skin and have the NHS do nothing about it. Now he has the offer of surgery in the US but no means to get there. I'll send a little his way and do what I can to spread the word. If every member here gave just $1 he'd be almost there!

Here's the page about his fundraiser:

What an amazing weight loss yet he's still wheel chair bound due to the excessive skin. Really hope the operation in America will be a reality for him so he can get his life back.

Isnt it a cruel trick of nature Moogie..all that hard work to lose weight then you possibly wish you were fat again just to fill out all that awful life limiting excess skin
In the long run, people losing vast amounts of weight are gonna save NHS millions...I think in the longterm with more people losing tons of weight, the NHS may have to consider funding excess skin removal..
after all this guy/ others who have lost so much weight can' t do anything about it - they have done all they can and can do no more without medical skilled help
I am gonna give a dollar or more..one dollar is only about 60 pence..most of us can afford that and will help this man reach his goal
Thanks for bringing this to our attention Moogie x
