Anyone been to Peru?
06 Mar 2013, 16:08
I really fancy a trip to Peru to see Machu Picchu and and Lake Titicaca early next year.

Just wondered if anyone has done this before? Which tour company you used and how you found it?

Any recommendations (or not!) welcomed. :)

Paddington Bear is from there.

Also it's the only Quiz question I know, The Capital of Peru is Lima.

OK, so that doesn't help, sorry, I hope you go and have a great time, travel broadens the mind.

My friend went and my BiL too. Both thought it was great, I'll ask my BiL. I think my friend uses Explore for trips.

I've a Peruvian friend who I could ask, but having just given birth to a baby girl, she may be a little indisposed... I must say that Machu Picchu is definitely on my list of places to visit. My wife's Mexican and on our various trips there we've visited many pre-hispanic sites, but none quite so spectacular as that!

Thanks BBT and YFU.

YFU - if your friend has just given birth, please don't disturb her, I'm sure she has plenty of other things to think about!

Machu Picchu has been on my bucket list for so long, I really want to get it done. And hopefully by next year I'll be a lot thinner and more able to cope with all the coach travel, early mornings and walking!
