Evening all
17 Mar 2013, 21:00
Well I have pigged out all weekend so thank goodness it is fast day tomorrow.
Had fun this afternoon when my year old Boxer/Mastiff found his way into the chicken and duck field and panicked the chickens. Took me over an hour to find them all among the brambles. I am so going to cut them back when the weather allows. My three chicks are doing well and all have wing feathers now. There are noises coming from the eggs in the incubator which I hope will result in another hatching.
Enjoyed the start of the Grand Prix season although it was hard avoiding the result with the new arrangement. Missed Jake though.
Well I am an hour ahead of the UK and need to sign out as very tired. See you all tomorrow

Hello Bobshouse (and Moirs). Glad your chicks are doing well. I don't tend to get broodies till later in the year and haven't used the incubator for a few years. It is rxciting when the eggs start cheeping though, and miraculous really.
So fed up of the rain here, our fields are bogs. I'm seriously thinking ogf grazing our hay field this year for the first time in 20 years and just buying in hay. When I think of the hassle and worry of making hay it is very tempting.
Will it ever be spring?
Fasting today after a weekend of delicious eating, Sunday roast, home made scones and banana and lemon cake. Yes I need it and I'm happy to fast!
