Re: Giving up the booze.

Hi Sophieh and Dominic - having posted on here yesterday about whether anyone else thinks hangovers are worse since 5:2 I have come to the conclusion that the after effects that I felt after a dinner party and wine consumption is that the 5:2 + cutting back at weekend on wine consumption has made me a bit of a lightweight .....which is good in a way really.....slowly coming to the conclusion that life is too short to feel as rough as I did yesterday through overindulgence and if the scales show that these two things are making a difference when I finally weigh in after 50 days (22nd May) that will be the incentive I need to curtail the alcohol ....watch this space! x

HI Sophieh

I've decided to quit..
Mind you I am a lot older than you and done a bit more drinking in my time..
Since I've been abstaining I find that I have no tolerance for alcohol ..
Considering what I used to be able to drink..and now even once glass is too much for me..it's time to quit.. it's basically empty calories anyway..
I think that if you are thinking about quitting constantly it's a good sign that your body might be telling you something..
If you tend to be anxious ..alcohol won't be good for you in the long run..
