Hey, my son is visiting on a music tour. he will be at NYU for 2 weeks then staying on for a holiday for a week. they are looking at accommodation in Thompson Street. Anyone know if that is a good spot to be in? He will have a mate but it is their first overseas trip. They are hoping to get to lots of jazz.

I absolutely love the area by Washington Square park (the northern bits of Thompson Street). I think it's a fantastic area to stay as a young person and I think he'll have a blast! Sorry I didn't notice this thread before
