Any fellow Nottingham folk?!
06 May 2013, 20:24
Just curious as to whether there is anyone else from Nottingham or nearby on here?!
Hi Claire,

I live near EMA so not too far from you. It is always nice to know that there are like minded folk near by, we might be able to set up a local meet if there are enough of us around the East Midlands. Looks like you are doing quite nicely with the weight loss, keep it up,

It is nice to know!! Would be up for a local meet too, that what made me ask really as noticed some others have met up with local people! Will see if there are anymore East Mids folk!! How are you doing on the 5:2? Its my 4th weigh in on Fri so hoping for a few more pounds :)
Hi Claire,

That would be lovely. I am now on maintenance and I'm one of those funny folk who like doing an 8 hour feeding window, but, hey, it works for me and that's what all this is about.

We could just be the EM gruesome twosome but it would be nice to at least be the EM gleesome threesome or the quaint quartet etc? Nottingham is such a lovely city so it will be no hardship for me to get there,

I am not sure what an 8 hour feeding window is but well done for reaching target! Could I ask how much you have lost?

I have lived in Nottingham since I was born :)

Great stuff, plenty East Mids folk for a lunch meet :) On a non fasting day obviously. I go away this Saturday for week so perhaps June would be good
Hi, looks like we might get our EM clan together some time, hope so. My 8 hour feeding window means that, every day, I skip breakfast, don't nibble late at night, don't count calories and that way I can easily maintain my weight within my 8 hour window I.e. start eating at 12 noon than don't eat after 8pm, easy peasy! I lost 21 lbs after a non existing start but just stuck with it and got there in the end. :like:

Chris and Pete, hey, looks we might get this off the ground, hope so, it would be so lovely to meet up but I am away for the whole of June but otherwise I am all yours!

Wow thanks for explaining I'm not sure i could skip breakfast everyday! Hat off to u!! Could be a July EM clan!
Good morning EMclan, and everyone else of course,

What a lovely day today, hope you are all enjoying the sunshine as it will not be with us much longer.

Claire, my husband would rather eat razor blades than miss breakfast so this is not for everyone, but if you never try you will never know. :starving:

Chris and Pete, July sounds good to me and so does Notts, if that suits everyone. If our meet up goes well and there is no violence or otherwise unsocial behaviour then we can try different venues, i.e. Derby, Leicester etc. OOOh, this all quite exciting, well, I'm quite excited. Hope we get others interested as well

Evening! I couldn't enjoy the sunshine as I was stuck at work! I looked at the forecast for Norfolk next week and it doesn't look great, we have rented a little dog friendly cottage, although one of my dogs has an injured paw so its all not going to well at the mo! My diet is going well tho, looking forward to 4th weigh in on Fri!

I think I could miss breakfast if I didn't work as at the weekend sometimes I don't eat till 12ish anyway! I need breakfast before work tho, except on fast days lol!

July still good for me in Nottingham..need to think of a venue for a nice lunch!
Hi all EMclan (luv the name Ballerina)

Just thought I would mention it I can only do Mon-Thurs, I would put a holiday day in at work, but if weekend suits the majority I understand. I would go to Nottm by train so anywhere city centre would be ok.

What was that all about Ballerina, "and there is no violence or otherwise unsocial behaviour then we can try different venues." are you a football hooligan ? Up the Forest, County, Leicester, Derby County and not forgetting Stags, I'm edging my bets just in case.
I WISH I lived in Nottingham! I currently live in the USA and I want out badly. I have always been obsessed with living in the UK and particularly in Nottingham because it is so quaint and pretty. Maybe one day I will move LOL :)
Hi Tina, What a shame you cannot join us but you can be with us in spirit and join in all the fun by proxy,

Chris, Mon-Thurs suits me as well but will see what everyone else can do. I hate football, by the way, more a rugby girl which is probably where the silly analogy came from,

Claire, enjoy your holiday and hope your little dog's paw gets better soon

Keep up the good work EMclan,,
