Fasting Affecting Dreams?
01 Jun 2013, 06:53
Now I haven't had a dream that I've remembered in many, many months but for the last 2 nights I've had the weirdest dreams... After I was fasting yesterday...

The first night I dreamed that my BF was a serial killer and whilst he was killing people in the bedroom I had to escape and lock myself and my daughter in the garage... Bizzare!

Anyway, last night I dreamed that I was visiting somewhere where there was a large nest of snakes. I was told that they fasted on Fridays so they wouldn't hurt me but when I went to see them I got bitten on the heel of my foot. Turns out I'd gotten the days wrong and the snakes weren't fasting that day. I had the bite looked at and I was told I needed to get to a nearby city for the antidote or I'd die in 6 hours. My traveling companions on this journey? The guys from Top Gear :S

Anyone else had weird fasting dreams?

  I don't suppose Jeremy Clarkson was driving a prius? And hopefully, James May wasn't driving or giving direction. I can imagine Richard Hammond was in a bit of a panic.

Personally, I haven't had any odd dreams or more than usual odd, since fasting.

Don't ask because if I told you, I'd have to kill you but, Simon Cowell was in my dreams last night.

I'm just SO grateful that I have no idea what the dream was about, phew!

Hah! I'm just the opposite.

For a while I was having really strange dreams that I vividly remembered when I woke up. Since I've been fasting, I don't remember any of them, though I suspect I'm still having them. I think it's because I'm getting better sleep through not going to bed stuffed with food (i.e., being able to get to sleep sooner and not waking up in the night with heartburn). I'm probably now dreaming earlier in the night rather than so close to the alarm going off.

YES! OH and I both said that we have strange, clear dreams when we fast. I guess it's better than the difficulty sleeping some people have on fast days!

Oh indeed yes...! Are our brains having a re-jig too? Perhaps clearing through a few decades of dross (hopefully).
