Smart car anyone
10 Jun 2013, 16:01
I have recently bought a Smart car & absolutely love her. I am a HUGE original Mini fan & we own 6. The Smart reminds me of a modern Mini. She puts a smile on my face everytime I drive her & doing over 50mpg makes me even happier.
Anyone else got one?

I had one until I killed it on an icy road one November morning...
Please note: Smart cars do not skate.

I kinda thought they resembled a roller-skate

I drink a lot, so I don't drive. :-)

I didn't ever have a smart car but until recently all of my cars were small - Corsa, and a Suzuki Ignis. I ended up getting really hacked off with not only the poor ride quality on A roads and motorways, but also the attitude of other drivers who seem to think it's ok to cut up and pull in front of a small car. Especially when it's driven by a woman!
So with my work journey being 15 miles each way I decided to get a mid size diesel. Never looked back, I love the turbo, the gutsy power, the extra room, comfortable ride. I drive it like I stole it and still get 46mpg which is pretty good I reckon :-)

I drove mine from the South Coast in the UK half-way down and across France... on motorways!

My OH was driving a Renault Espace! Talk about Little and Large!

I have to say I was dreading the motorway as collected her from Exeter & had over 200 miles to drive home & she was brilliant. I got the Brabus one which is a bit posh (ebay bargain) & she does nearly 100mph !! Being ex-police of course I never speed ;-)
She is called Blip & so very cute. Like a tardis when you get in her. I would recommend one to anyone now.

Totally agree about the inside space. It compared very favourably to the inside space at the front of the Renault Espace!
People at the supermarket used to be surprised at how much shopping I could put away in the back!
Mine had a killer music centre, semi-auto gear box, air-con and I loved it!

Best car I ever had, as I said to my OH only last week (and I used to drive a Caterham 7 too! )
