It doesn't get any better
22 Jun 2013, 18:30
Never mind the "O" ...... see my avatar, that's my 3 year old & tomorrow, yes TOMORROW I, yes ME ME ME, I'm going to back him.

I am going to be the very first person ever to ask him to accept a person on his back & move forwards. I am SO HAPPY that I'm crying thinking about it.

Without the support of my amazing husband & without 5:2 I wouldn't be here.

My husband has supported me all the way, buying a 2 1/2 year old & the daily natural horsemanship and all the effort that we've put into this magnificent boy.

5:2 has knocked over 8kg off me so that I'm lithe & supple & not too heavy for that young & tender back.

TOMORROW IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT & I'm more excited than an excited thing on an excited day with excited bits on it

He's a good looking fella! What's his name?

Hope all goes well, and keep calm! Riding in the French countryside, ahh, what a lovely pastime.

I'm scared to death of going near the back of a horse but I love looking at them. They are such wonderful creatures, when they run they look like flying!

Best of luck for tomorrow, Annie. We're expecting a full report and dare I say a photo?

He is a beauty, but I am forever biased towards this breed. The metalic horses Akal-Teke https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=metal ... B500%3B375

Good luck! My Morgan and my Quarter horse, along with my 2 goats and 2 dogs, constitute the "exercise" segment of my staying fit plan. I wouldn't dream of starting a horse under saddle from scratch, though--I'm not that brave. For some reason we call the process "breaking", rather than backing, but let's hope no one gets broken.

It's lovely to hear how excited you are - have a really wonderful day

I have only been on a horse once in my life when on holiday in Canada and against my better judgement was persuaded by my husband and daughters to go on an afternoon's trek. The horses were magnificent, guides great, scenery amazing but I was so scared the whole time and fainted at the end! Never again - what a wuss I am.
