Hi all,
I decided to watch Brave on Wednesday evening - my second ever fast day! - and realised that the scenes with food in them were a bit... difficult. Led me to wonder, what other films would be good/bad to watch on a fast day?

Chocolat, clearly, would be a total disaster, worse than Brave by far! But that bit in the Matrix where he nearly eats a mouldy sandwich could be quite good...
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and her Lover.

Ratatouille

The feast days at 'Hogwarts' in most of the 'Harry Potter' films.
The Hunger Games sounds good in theory. But, it has been a while since I watched it...so I can't remember whether there were big food scenes.
I've not seen the cook, the thief, his wife and her lover - I'll queue that one (but not for a fasting day!). Never seen the hunger games either, but will proceed with caution - Sherlock might be good, I don't remember any food in that and Benedict Cumberbatch would be a nice distraction! Likewise Johnny Depp in that version of Charlie but I don't think it would be enough to distract from all that chocolate...
Julia and Juliette... bad, very bad...
The Thomas Crown Affair, first version ...
... Oh, and Paul Newman and all those eggs in 'Cool Hand Luke' ...
Eat,pray,love.......mmm pizza
Also the series Hannibal , it may well be humans he's cooking up but it sure looks good!
... And 'Babette's Feast' ...
Anyone remember 'Tom Jones' from the 70's? All those chicken bones etc being strewn about whilst they wiped grease off their chops, actually, it put me off eating and flirting for at least 30 seconds,

Ballerina x
Oh yes - I think 'the Thomas Crown Affair' scene was the more restrained version of that, lol!!
Super size me, really not good on a fast day but towards the end of the film when he starts getting ill would be good for a fast day, so 50/50 on that one
Has to be The Silence of The Lambs & A Glass of Chianti !!!
Ooh I thought of some more

9 1/2 weeks - you must remember the fridge scene!!!!!
Lady and the tramp - spaghetti and meatballs
And........ American Pie - waste of a good apple pie if you ask me :)
