In case anyone heard about the powerful typhoon that hit Okinawa yesterday, I am fine. I lost power for 6 hours and have a big mess to clean up, but otherwise all is well. Unusually, the island experienced some flooding, mostly of roads. The infrastructure is good here, so usually there are no problems...

Very glad to hear that you are OK @MaryAnn. Mother Nature can't half be destructive at times.

Good all is well with you . Hope there isn't too much damage elsewhere.
Glad to hear you are o.k. Poor Japan gets more than its fair share of disasters doesn't it.
Glad you are OK-we shouldn't grumble too much about the UK climate when others experience events like that
Thanks for letting us know you are ok, must have been scary
I was thinking about you, MaryAnn, when I heard about the typhoon--so glad that you are ok.
I have a grandson in the US Marines who is stationed in Japan--now I'm thinking about him as well as everyone still in the path of Neoguri.

Glad to hear you're OK @MaryAnn despite the mess you're in that can always get sorted eventually.
Thank you for posting this, Maryanne. I was worried about you when I heard about the typhoon yesterday.
Glad all is well with you. Can't believe I didn't even know
Thanks, everyone. Things are fairly back to normal today. Even my favorite beach bar, which tends to lose its roof with every typhoon, is open tonight. Luckily I'm not fasting
Good to hear you're okay.
