What camera do you have?
22 Oct 2013, 19:22
I am getting to grips with all the manual settings on my hub's cast off cannon 1000D and loving it.
It comes with a battery grip which makes it a tad heavy for me, especially with a big lens.
I am contemplating a lighter DSLR, if there is such a thing, and just thought I'd ask all you knowledeable people what you use and what you'd recommend.

I have a wonderful pocket sized Canon - which is absolutely brilliant! Hubby uses a Cannon DSLR and we took both on our Africa trip recently and in all honesty we both felt that mine was just as good as the DSLR and with the size and weight we used it much more. The DSLR has a zoom lens so was good for safari shots - but honestly mine really wasn't that far behind. It's a Canon Ixus and I'd thoroughly recommend it - though if you're set on a manual then obviously it won't be right for you.
