@Juliana.rivers got me thinking about this. What is your favourite soundtrack?

I will get us started.

Showing my age, but Saturday Night Fever. All those disco classics.
Score from Skyfall
I have several, actually

Four weddings and a funeral, I used to listen to it all the time
The Rocky Horror Picture Show because, of course....

And a big big big big favorite of mine as she is my favorite actress since I was a little girl, "la chanson d'Hélène" sang by Romy Schneider

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDd966e6a-Q
I hated "la vie en rose", not because of Edith Piaf but because I can't stand Marion Cotillard.

I forgot about "the last of the Mohicans", I loved that one

After a look at my music files I will add

- Fame (the real one, in 1980, of course)

- "Benny and Joon"

- "Music and Lyrics" (I didn't know Hugh Grant could sing !)

- "E.T. The Extraterestrial"

and..... because I am French and close to 40, "la Boum 1 & 2"

And I could have another list for the Disney movies soundtracks
The commitments, it was better the the show, but I'm not complaining. Then full Monty. Not see. The show YET.
Oh @carieoates! I was gonna say The Commitments!
There are others but TheCommitments immediately springs to mind! WHAT a soundtrack!
Also - showing my age now - i love the musical Hair and am pretty much word perfect in every song!

Peace and Love, man! Just an old hippie at heart! :0)
Out of Africa. The Deerhunter. Paris Texas. Midnight Cowboy. Early Bond films. And the Pink Panther
One of my all time old favourites is the soundtrack to Dr Zhivago.
Ooh Last of the Mohicans is a great one! One of my faves is Manhunter (I highly recommend it) plus The Mission...beautiful music

I love, love, LOVE soundtracks so I'll have a wee look in my collection...

Bean
I love The Mission original score, its so beautiful. Some of music from Gladiator and Blackhawk Down. The sound track to A Life Less Ordinary is better than the movie. And the soundtrack to Amelie is very sweet.
I love 'True Love' from the movie High Society with Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly.

Oh dear, I am showing my age!! hee hee

cheers Maggie

Oh me too Maggie! such a simple melody but I love it! :like:
I can't remember a lot of those, but the one that springs to mind for me is the haunting music from The Piano
Midnight in Paris is the one I have in my car and listen to most often.

I actually really enjoy some of the soundtracks to the World of Warcraft games. They hire some really good musicians!

I used to love love love the soundtracks to Rocky Horror and a movie called "Valley Girl" and the movie "The Hunger" that had David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve.
Love " Lady in red" and "whose driving you home" by Cars, Moon River

What about the music from the oldies like The Dam Busters and the Sound of Music, just love the oldies
